When I first starting writing Life, Love, and Food, I never dreamed that anyone else would actually read my words. Never. It was beyond comprehension that people might actually want to visit, say hello, ask questions, and offer their own stories. I am pleasantly surprised every time I find a new comment. I thought I had been diligent about responding. I found, however, that there were some unnoticed comments lurking in the back pages of this blog. Today, I read and responded to all of them! Whew. If you were disappointed because I didn't write back to you, hopefully if you look again, you will get the attention that you deserve, dear reader.
I really want this blog to be an open forum for discussing all things life, love, and food (especially that last part). In the spirit of this dream, I have adjusted the comment options to allow all readers, Blogger members or not, to leave comments. I have faith that the remarks will be worthy of publishing without my screening them, so unless I find otherwise, I will leave the comments as a (kind and considerate) free-for-all. For all my friends (aka Anne!) who like to e-mail me comments instead of posting them, perhaps you might consider making your remarks public? (No pressure, Anne. I love your e-mails!) I have also adjusted the comments so that I will be notified by e-mail about new comments, so if new comments show up on old posts, I'll know and can read them easily.
Hurray for blogging! I love it. Happy reading and happy cooking, everyone! Drop by to say hello whenever you like; I'll be here waiting for you.

Aha! Now I can comment without having to insert my email address into yet another hungry website.
Oops.
Rose-Anne, how will you differentiate me from the other anonymouses (anonymi?) out there? Shall I return to my emails?
I will vouch that that above post is from Anne, plus who else would use the word...and i quote "anonymi".
To my dear Not-So-Anonymous,
Ha! You crack me up. I am so touched by your continued reading of my blog. I won't lie: you are a big reason why I have changed my comment moderation. I empathize with your reluctance to create a Blogger identity just for the sake of leaving comments; I HATE giving out my information!
Perhaps we need to give you a nickname! I like "Garden Queen" (in honor of your gorgeous backyard garden) or "Dessert Diva" (I've seen those pies you make--works of art, I tell you). What do you think?
To JD,
Ha! Of course those messages were from Anne. I can only think of one other person who might use the word "anonymi," and like Anne, he is also the wordy type. I have a thing for wordy types.
To both of you: you rock. I am so blessed to have friends like you.
Hello dears!
I don't really know how to do this whole blogging thing. Despite having a tech-savvy partner, I'm a miserable failure with technology! But I'll try my best. Rose-Anne, we tried your Avocado Corn Salad as a side dish with quesodillas, and it was delicious! Thanks for the good idea. Next time, I might reduce the amount of red onion. We thought it *slightly* overpowered the yumminess of the mild avocado. Hello to ms. anonymous and JD as well! :)
Hi, Boston Girly!
Welcome to the blogging age! Your intrepid attempt to post a comment was successful.
I'm glad to hear you tried the Avocado Corn Salad! I can see your point about the red onion; the amount you choose to use really depends on how you feel about raw onion. I like it a lot, but it is a really strong flavor, so I think it's worth it to play around with the amount. I just love how fresh and flavorful that salad tastes.
Thanks for visiting! I miss you and your tech-savvy partner lots.
