She seemed pretty reasonable and calm to me, based on the severity of the situation. When you want to go home, it's hard to accept any other solutions.

Thanks for the link!Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-59368639830323635762008-04-12T00:03:00.000-05:002008-04-12T00:03:00.000-05:00Here ya go, check this out:http://kgmb9.com/main/c...Here ya go, check this out:

http://kgmb9.com/main/content/view/3084/401

The woman with the long hair and gray streaks is ... ah ... my aunt. *blushes outrageously*pere qui s'inquietehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07953315210893263539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-62193725954839549192008-04-11T09:59:00.000-05:002008-04-11T09:59:00.000-05:00Nick, yes! I never went to the airport, which means I never packed and I did not have to get up at 4:30 AM to catch my flight. And never mind the fact that I never stepped into a plane that may not have been safe to fly.

Your description of this salad ("light but filling") is perfect. It IS rather filling, especially if you eat a big serving paired with something starchy like bread or roasted potatoes. I just wish a meal like that left a little bit more room for dessert...

Daphna, I too am glad I was able to reschedule. It's a little exhausting to think that I'll be dealing with going out of town, airports, and flying NEXT week, but I know it will be worth it.

So about Ian's aunt, any chance there's a URL that contains the news footage? I feel like I might enjoy seeing someone else express outrage at the way airlines do business these days. American Airlines is offering "profuse apologies," which, frankly, does not make me feel better. A strategic error this large is not easily excused.Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-49408545802332695952008-04-11T09:36:00.000-05:002008-04-11T09:36:00.000-05:00Awww, how frustrating! Ian's aunt was on the flight that Nick referenced, and she became the spokesperson for the passengers. The news footage of her outrage is hilarious (if you know her).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-63347733105638185742008-04-10T19:12:00.000-05:002008-04-10T19:12:00.000-05:00Those darn airlines, so frustrating! At least you weren't on that Hawaiin airline where customers who showed up for their flight were told the airline was out of business, go home.

I love black beans, but combining with apples is an interesting idea.
This sounds like a nice light but filling salad. Thanks.

- The Peanut Butter BoyThe Peanut Butter Boyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06182799129657149969noreply@blogger.com
