My kitchen tends toward the same state, particularly at the end of the work week.

Shannon, I imagine you would find all sorts of interesting and delicious options in your kitchen! But yes, I too worried about how long the power would be out. I have a ton of basic ingredients and condiments in the fridge.Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-75765578496335899222012-02-06T09:27:56.478-06:002012-02-06T09:27:56.478-06:00very resourceful!! love it. i definitely could s...very resourceful!! love it. i definitely could scrounge together something, while stressing about when the power goes back so i don't lose everything else ;)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13898098819208716948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-51158140703743720052012-02-05T21:19:52.267-06:002012-02-05T21:19:52.267-06:00My ability to eat a meal when the electricity goes...My ability to eat a meal when the electricity goes out is really contingent on what sort of mood we were in when we wrote our list for groceries that week and what else is going. Some weeks all I would find are some crackers and cheese with peanut butter for dessert. Other times I might have olives, plenty of fruit, a leftover salad, homemade bread, etc.Raquelitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13138113830990586689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-85076722220441209942012-02-05T19:44:24.422-06:002012-02-05T19:44:24.422-06:00Ah, yes! I don't even have a damn flashlight, just candles. (And it's ironic too, because Matt and I were just discussing his dad's flashlight collection.) I am not prepared for a disaster outside of having a well-stocked pantry.Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-20066264582541979422012-02-05T18:21:14.729-06:002012-02-05T18:21:14.729-06:00I really love this post! It sounds like you ate better with no electricity than most people do on any given night - well done, lady!

If this happened to us, Nathan would probably whip out our camping stove. It has seen us through many a hurricane and days without electricity. :)Chrissyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07392552248911691182noreply@blogger.com
