I just shrugged and let them guess because I had no idea! I'm pretty accepting of any chocolate that crosses my path, so I don't worry too much about it myself.

I miss riding in cars! Maybe I can't help it: I AM from Detroit. It's in my blood. And if you ever find yourself in Chicago again, you should send me a message! I'll happily be your tour guide ;-)

Carole, thanks for stopping by and leaving such a nice note! If I'm able to make you feel like you were there, eating cheese and listening to cellos with me, then my writing has done its job. I deliberately left out the part about the wind that was so strong it almost knocked me over. Windy City indeed!Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-7181244904017807642009-02-26T14:52:00.000-06:002009-02-26T14:52:00.000-06:00It's not often that you run across someone who app...It's not often that you run across someone who apprciates the sweetness of life that's all around you. Dammit! That would have been brilliant. The Chicago Diner is a really fun place to eat. They have a great menu and the food is delicious. If you ever come to Chicago, put it on your list of places to eat! And invite me to tag along ;-)Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-60867176162745060052009-02-24T20:46:00.000-06:002009-02-24T20:46:00.000-06:00Chocolate, Chicago Diner, cello and cheese. I adore it!

The nice thing about making a big batch of roasted broccoli is that you end up with some broccoli stems and you can make broccoli slaw! Do you ever make slaw? That would satisfy your craving for raw broccoli. I just slice off the tough outside skin of the stalks and then I coarsely shred the tender, juicy inner stalk. Mmm! It's so good. Now I never waste the stalks because I just turn them into slaw! And that part should appeal to Wife ;-)Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-29872820909988878812009-02-24T17:52:00.000-06:002009-02-24T17:52:00.000-06:00We will have to trry that sometime. I do have admit, and Wife would back me up here, that coriander is possibly the best thing in the world. So we will try this sometimes soon. I'll let you know how it goes.JD @ run-thru-life.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11196732007819344467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-29758144631824870892009-02-24T12:30:00.000-06:002009-02-24T12:30:00.000-06:00Ammie, you make my life sweeter :-) I think it's ...Ammie, you make my life sweeter :-) I think it's unfortunate that love is too often seen in a rigidly romantic light. I like my romance with a side of friendship. Or, even better, how about friendship with a side of romance? Never mind those situations which inspire furtive romantic feelings, the kind that blur the line between platonic love and romantic love. Not all romance leads to sex!

JD, yum! I love raspberries and chocolate. You're right about those individually wrapped squares--they are the perfect size for a tiny daily dessert.

About the eating better idea, might I recommend the roasted broccoli recipe I posted recently? I know you are suspicious of tofu, but the broccoli alone would make a mighty fine vegetable side dish. Yum!Rosiecat24https://www.blogger.com/profile/07219527037186545061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-70978887593407926262009-02-24T07:21:00.000-06:002009-02-24T07:21:00.000-06:00My only chocolate indulgence as of late is the Ghi...My only chocolate indulgence as of late is the Ghirardellli dark chocolate raspberry squares. Chocolate and raspberries go together like peanut butter and jelly. Plus I can treat myself to one without killing the eating better idea.JD @ run-thru-life.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11196732007819344467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6822839939627192494.post-48857985023193105732009-02-23T12:02:00.000-06:002009-02-23T12:02:00.000-06:00I love, love, love that you shared your chocolates...I love, love, love that you shared your chocolates with all of your co-workers! It's easy to forget that love encompasses more than romantic love, but it's so indicative of your character that you want to share sweetness with all those around you. I'm glad that I could be a part of your sweet weekend.ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16220553595935499440noreply@blogger.com
